US BSL loan volume backing private equity sponsored activity totaled US$969bn so far this year. At US$84bn financing backing LBO events makes up roughly 9% of total sponsored loan volume so far this year, and more significantly, already exceeds full year 2024 issuance.  At nearly US$20bn, October 2025 LBO loan volume represents the strongest monthly results since February 2022. Of greater interest to asset hungry lenders, in November, over US$27bn in sponsored loan volume has been announced. Of this total, nearly US$23.5bn backs buyout activity.
