Fundraising down, but interest is maintained

While capital raising in North America struggled in the first six months of 2024, hopes are high of a strong finish to the year.
North American fundraising during the first half of 2024 ran far behind the first half of 2023, according to the latest Private Debt Investor data. Roughly $46.2 billion was raised in North America through the first half of the year, less than 70 percent of the $66.7 billion raised during the first half of 2023. That means North America accounted for slightly less than half of all global fundraising but still claimed the highest percentage share.
