2024 recorded just under 3,800 completed PE exits, for an aggregate of over $900 billion (including estimations). The exit value figure compares favorably to much of the 2010s as it actually represents the highest single-year tally since 2010, barring 2021. Moreover, the volume of exits is the second-highest figure in that timeframe. PE fund managers have had greater success as of late in finding creative liquidity avenues, which bodes well for future fundraising data and dealmaking cycles, especially as most firms navigated considerably volatile market conditions in the past few years.
